Marnin Studio Head to DAAF
This August the Marnin Studio team of models, artists and designers hit the road to Darwin to join a host of Art Centres from across Australia for the DAAF From Country to Couture runway and art fair.
"From Country to Couture" celebrates the marriage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contemporary fine art and high-end fashion. The success of the textile design movement in remote Indigenous communities has led to exciting collaborations with well known Australian designers. This year, DAAF are proud to present two spectacular shows.

The Gorman & Mangkaja Arts Collection will showcase 40 looks featuring the artwork of artists from Fitzroy Crossing in Western Australia. Gorman is an Australian fashion label that is celebrating 10 years of supporting artists, designers, and makers from around the world.
And in 2019, From Country to Couture celebrates its 4th year, and will showcase eight remarkable boutique collections that have been designed and crafted in collaboration remote community Art Centres.
