When Marra Worra Worra started activities in the Fitzroy Crossing community, I began learning from the ladies. We started doing arts and crafts. I have been painting and printing at Marnin Studio since 2019, and during this time, I’ve learned many new skills and enjoy creating in different mediums.

I grew up on Fossil Downs Station near Fitzroy Crossing. My mum is from Jaru country, and we moved between the two places. At Fossil Downs, I didn’t grow up with many luxuries, but we lived a good life, and I have fond memories of it. My family shared stories about how they lived in the bush, and I was taught how to fish, hunt, and gather bush medicine.

My artwork is inspired by the stories from my elders and the lifestyle I live.
