Art that breathes

country.

Our studio is a sanctuary where women from the Fitzroy Valley come together to create, heal, and share their stories. Each woman brings her unique experience, her dreams, and her cultural heritage, weaving a vibrant tapestry of creativity that resonates with strength and resilience.

A healing space

for creativity.

Marnin Studio is a therapeutic space where art and connection become tools for healing. It's an incubator for creative expression, offering women a chance to relax, learn, and grow. Through a strength-based and community-led approach, the studio provides a platform for empowerment, creating opportunities for women to gain financial independence while building confidence in their skills.

Nestled within the Marninwarntikura Women’s Resource Centre in Fitzroy Crossing, Western Australia, our studio is rooted in the vision of local Bunuba, Gooniyandi, Wankatjunka, Walmajarri, and Nykina women. United by shared purpose and creativity, the studio embodies its meaning: "Marnin"—women, in Walmajarri language.

The Studio

Marnin Studio is part of the Marninwarntikura Women’s Resource Centre, based in Fitzroy Crossing, Western Australia. ‘Marnin’ means women in Walmajarri language—and women are at the heart of everything we do.

Every piece of art reflects cultural knowledge, from the textures of bush plants to the seasonal rhythms of country. Our model is a modern way to celebrate, preserve, and share culture while inspiring pride, hope, and strength in our artists.

We honor the Bunuba people and their cultural knowledge by drawing inspiration from the land and its seasonal movements. Our mission is to support women through creativity and social enterprise, fostering resilience and sustainable growth while celebrating the rich creativity and heritage of the women we work with.
