Marnin Studio works on the ground with women who live in remote Fitzroy Valley communities in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
Nestled in the beautiful gardens of Marninwarntikura Women’s Resource Centre, the studio grew from the creative interests of Bunuba, Gooniyandi, Wangkatjungka, Walmajarri, and Nyikina women who, while staying at the shelter, began painting boab nuts as a way to heal from their experiences.
From these beginnings, Marnin Studio has become a place where women gather to share stories, strengthen community, and create pathways to positive change.
